Title: Looking for a part number
Post by: acoder on December 03, 2004, 11:21:47 PM
Does anyone know the part number of the small filter on the top intake hose?
I'm having trouble finding it.
(I know the airfilter pictured is a K&N RU2970)
Thanks

Hmmmm,  :dunno:  since I don't know what it costs new I'm not exactly sure what to offer.  I would guess that it's a $4-$5 filter.  How about $8 including shipping?
(Still would like to know the part number, I'm sure I'll have to replace it in the future.)
Thanks

those are generic breather filters... get them at autozone, advance, or whatever your local part store

I think I paid $10 or so for mine at autozone

The K&N weighs in at around $25, and the generics are about $15.  I don't even know why those get a filter because every time I feel it it feels like air is blowing out of it, not sucking in.  So either something is wrong with my bike or something is wrong with America.
