I put up a "GSXR or Katana front end parts wanted" ad on Craigslist and someone offered up a Bandit 1200 front end. Compatability?
only if you get the handlebars all the way down to the tire
Ack. How are they for weight?
they are bigger...therefore they will weigh more than a gs
they are probably longer ... you will probably have todrop the tubes in the trees
this might be a good thing....since you could then add clip-ons above the trees
Is $350 a good price for '03 GSXR 1k USD with calipers, lines, resevoir, brake lever, and lower tree only?
At that rate, it seems like I could build myself a 2003 gsxr 1k for half of the price that people are asking for them assembled...am I being a delusional red and pink tights wearer again?

i would say yes
front wheel....200-250
rotors 75-100 each
axle...25-50
fender 50-75
top tripple ??? 50-100
h-bars 50-150 set
For less than $200, you can have a complete Katana front end.
but that is sooooo last week
I'd give you $5 and a case of beer if you got a extra one :)

Ill take it anyway, Kat 600 forks 4 me.

This is what I was planning on bidding on, and the price is still relatively low. No speedo el worko, eh? Anyone know what years on gsxrs still used cable speedos?
Id watch it buyin from guys that have 0 feedback, chances are they are good but its just a little bit more uncertain.
Good eye...
Here's another complete setup...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4511985504&category=35592
I think I want to score some USD though..
I also had a guy from Craigslist offer me an '01 complete, minus wheel and rotors... I'm going to try and see if I can get it for $200-$250
For my '99 gixxer setup I ended up paying about...
$300 triples, bars, and tubes
$175 wheel
$125 tire
$45 calipers
$40 for a broken fender that I repaired
$25 axle
Then I had a steering stem made, did a brake job, replaced grips, etc.
I guess I lucked out...tonite I am buying the front end off an '01 gsxr 750, tubes, triples, and calipers for $150... local pickup too...gotta love Craigslist... :thumb:
