Title: Changing fairings
Post by: Thruan on December 11, 2004, 08:42:59 PM
hey ppl, you'll most prob dislike this idea but is it possible at all to fit the 600 or 750 full fairing to the 500F? keep in mind me and my father are very capable of making up brackets to suit diff mounting spots. thanks

Yeah, it's possible.

You'll need to make a bracket that comes off the front of the stem... welding is most likely required.  Whatever you do, don't try to skimp and just attach it to the triple trees...not a good idea...it would effect your steering at high speeds and would probably try to correct it and keep you going in a straight line...also it could be really unsettling if you are hit with a harsh crosswind.

Attaching the side parts would require drilling into the frame and I believe you should be able to use the bottom engine mounts.
