Title: I would let Srinath Jet my carbs all day long...
Post by: GooseyGoose on December 17, 2004, 09:44:07 AM
Sent the carbs from my 93 to Srinath for jetting.  Very pleased with the results.  Not only did Srinath answer my many questions but he did a fabulous job on the carbs.  They came back so clean I hated to install them back on my bike.

Srinath helped me select the proper jetting for my GS with Yosh full exhaust and K&N filter in the airbox.  Power is nice and linear now, thanks to the jetting selected and proper adjustment of the bowl heights and carb balancing.  He also helped me fix a torn diaphram inexpensively by using one from a katana which he found cheap.

I was even more surprised that Srinath helped me discover some possible tank rust in my application, so I checked the tank and really it wasn't that bad, just been neglect of not cleaning carbs over the last 3 years....I put a couple filters on lines drained gas and looked for dirt reassembled and forgot about it.

I thought maybe I'd have trouble getting the bike going again, but reinstallation and a little choke in 40 degree weather and the sucker fired right up!!!!  Not sure, but the bikes sounds a little meaner now too.  My first test drive scared me a bit, throttle reaction is responsive now without holes or stumbles.

I am very pleased and would recommend Srinath Jetting to all board members.

Hey man, Thanks ... glad it worked well ...
There is no line ... OK I have one set of carbs ... and many more threatening to show up ... but hey I can crank them out rather rapidly ... unless they had some issues ... might be cheaper to buy the damn Kat carb rack from my friend the school bus guy ... serious ... he runs an underground wrecking yard and lives in a school bus ... and has a bunch of mystery stuff ...
The deal is however ... the damn store that I buy pilots from has not returned my call form yesterday ... they may be awol for the holidays ... you might not see the carbs back till after new years ...
NickU - I got you covered ... prolly should PM ya..
Cool.
Srinath.
