Title: Frame sliders
Post by: scratch on December 18, 2004, 06:48:36 PM
What about those "frame sliders" on the sides of Buells? Would those work? Hmm...

Like so:

they "stick" on?.....    somehow, i don't see that working very well.  it would have to be some really strong adhesive to keep the sliders from sliding right off the frame

Yea but they might work good for a light fall.  You would have to do some fitment to get them to work on the GS's frame.

The bolt on round frame sliders would work better IMO.  All you would have to do is drill and tap directly into the frame.

Well now here's an alternate idea:

Knee pucks!

Additionally, if you're gonna drill the frame to mount frame sliders, you could drill for the kneepucks as well.
