Hey I am looking on ebay for rear shocks... will Gsxr-1k... 600 rear shock fit??
They are off of 00 and newer??
I am not worried about having to lengthen the kick stand

It will fit if it doesn't have a piggyback resevoir.  Look for shocks that have either a remote resevoir(connected by a hose) or ones that have an internal resevoir.

I have found a crap load of 00 and newer gsxr-600/ 1k rear shocks for a very good price (almost brand new for $50 or less.
I was watching one earlier go for $25 with only 3k miles.

Newer gixxer shocks do and don't  fit. They are larger in diameter. They changed in the mid-90's. Some sort of modification will be required. The lower linkage from a gixxer may be needed, they are shorter than the GS allowing for more clearance at the swing arm due to being larger in diameter. The location of the piggyback reservoirs vary with the years. The latter ones are more to the left, which may interfere with the frame mounted petcock. The late 90's ones have the reservoir more centered over the shock. Most any late model gix shocks can be had for less than $20. I picked up an 04 gsxr600 for $10.

With some modifications anything is possible....
