Whats the best way to test  if a GS500 has 25 or 33Kw.If it manages to get 170 kmh is that enough to claim is has 44 Hp?

No, if you're talking 170 speedo-indication.

Yes, if you're talking real (GPS) speed.

PS: My speedometer - for example - seems to be ~15% off - it shows 170km/h when I really go 150km/h.
