Title: Fork Brace Bolt Size
Post by: AR5ENAL on December 22, 2004, 11:56:01 AM
Anyone know what the stock fork brace bolt size is?  I've got a machined aluminum fork brace, and I need some longer bolts, in the right size.  Any help?

M6 x 1.0 is the size, length is about 10mm

Yeah, I just replaced my fork brace bolts with M6x1.0, 16 mm but they stick out the bottom.  10 or 12 mm in length sounds about right.

thanks for the quick replies.  M6 x 1.0 it is, but i'll need something longer than 10 or 12 mm for sure.   time to check what the hardware shop has.

BTW, i'd also like to replace the fender bolts with proper ones (read: ones that won't strip at the drop of a hat).  you guys know the size for those too, or am i on my own here?

thanks again!
