Post by: quinnbozz on December 23, 2004, 01:59:22 PM
Well thanks to davipu & srinath i can now start trying to figuer it all out.  Starting with fenderectomey / breaks front and back / new rubber for 10 BUCKS!! ( I love ebay) / 32 red LED's for 30 bucks (rip off on shipping { I HATE EBAY} ) / Jet'n it  / fabin dual exhaust / and 15 tooth front sprocket
now all i need is a lunch box K&N. and maby a ignition advancer/ katana rear shock
well i am sure i will have many questions along the way so the reason for this poast is to express my gratitude and say THANK YOU to everyone involved with this site, without this i would proabably not even have a bike (peroid)
so hears to all of you
mostly all the major players to (moderators)  john / kerry / srinath / pantablo / jeffD
and everyone else whom i have dealt with, you all make this a wounderful site
Thanks! :thumb:

I think the Kat shock should be much higher on your list of stuff to do.  Add to it some progressive springs for the front forks, and your GS will ride a tonne better!  These were by far the best mods I did to my ride.

Ebay for the Kat shock...I think I paid 25$ for mine.

The progressive springs you'll have to buy new (unless someone here is selling some).  I got mine for something like 35$.  Try doing a search to see where people have purchased theirs.  Also check out pantablo's GS500 site.  It provids all sorts of good info on the Kat shock swap...make sure you don't buy the wrong one!
