I had a 92 gix750. They are air/oil cooled so they are prone to over heat in stop/go traffic. Ergos are not bad but then I am used to leaning over on a bike. I hated working on 4 carbs. They are a good bike though.

Could it be a daily conmuter? I do 40 minute rides to work everyday....

Thanks...

Any bike could be used as a commuter. Ergos will depend on how you fit the bike. The bike always seemed small to me. The only problems I had when it would run hot was when I had it at the beach just cruising. When it got too hot it did not run right. But then it was bored with oversized flat slide carbs.

You could always change the ergos and make the bike more commuter confortable by adding helibars.  I would say that if you find yourself thinking about the GSXR all the time, then treat yourself to a nice Christmas present and go for it!

92 was the last year of the air/oil cooled. 93 was the start of the water cooled. 92 does have usd forks.

deffinitely different from your GS' ergos.  A lot more weight on ur wrists.  I too am looking into a GSXR 750.  an '01 though.  I rode a '93, and it was more weight on my hands than my GS.  Rode the '01 and also the '04 GSXR 750's, and those were even more agressive on the seating for me.  You get used to it after the first day though.

Any bike can be a commuter.  I agree.  I just don't see myself taking the Hwy 1 from San Diego to San Francisco on this bike...

but seeing as I'm headed towards the stunting route, this is the more practical choice for me, w/ out getting killed on Insurance (for a liter bike.)

anyways, I'd say get it.  If the price is really well, you could prolly sell it for just as much if not more, if you end up not liking it..
