Are the CFM pegs a direct replacement for the stock pegs? do you need to buy separate brackets. Jimmy
I have a set on my bike, they are a direct bolt on. CFM sells a set specifically for the (race) GS500, but your bike doesnt need to be race to run em. Very light and VERY VERY strong pegs...I believe Dguyver or BobB is running them, and mentioned dropping it without any damage to the pegs.
Hope this helps!
where can i get a hold of them?
do the CFM give the bike anymore cornering clearence? Jimmy
link to the pegs?
Doesn't anybody know how to go to google.com and type in a couple words?
Here's a direct link for those too lazy...

And yes, they do increase cornering clearance by a bit. But...and this *could* be a potentially big "but", they WILL not fold up if they do contact the ground. It's up to you to decide if the risk of the rearset levering your back tire off the ground is worth it.
wonder if they work for a 04 500f
You done hinting tony?
I may have my CFM's for sale here pretty quick for $150.00 so I can put my CBR rearsets on the bike. PM if your interested, also, pictures of my bike with the CFM's can be seen on MK1incali's page.
Hope this helps.
Daniely,
What type of mods if any did you have to do to get the WoodCraft CFM rearset to work? I was told that you would have to add 1 1/4 inch to the shift lever. I'm thinking of buying a set for my race GS. Let me know. Thanks Tony.
You only have to add length to the shift lever if you want it to be in the same relation to the peg as stock. If you are fine with it being an inch or so further out, requiring a little extra movement of your foot on the peg, then it doesn't need to be modified at all.
I used CFM pegs for several years on my race bike and never had a problem with them, but then I have pretty big feet too...
Cool Thanks.
I'm in need of the rearsets. I dragged my stock pegs and dumped the bike at a trackday in Dec. On raceday I had to be really careful when leaning or coming in to the turns to hard.
I'll be racing CCS (CCS #618) Florida come Feb. on my 91 GS.
Mine are still using the stock levers, course i have a size 13 foot so.... They work great.
Thanks Daniely,
Let me know if you will sell your's and for $$$.
If yours are for sale and the other sale doesnt work let me know. I PM you asking about the pegs a couple of months ago and got no return. Jimmy
It looks like Trackman114 has dibs if you sell the CFM's. Cool. Trackman114 r u in South, FL?
Track send me another PM, I had my box full for some time and deleted a bunch of stuff to make room, I believe i deleted yours. THe price is still the same $150.00. Let me know if you are still interested, looks like its time for me to put my CBR pegs on.
Yeah Im interested but can you wait for a couple of weeks untill I get paid. Jimmy
No I'm in SoCal
NP just shoot me a PM
There are two other options.
Just buy two CFM pegs and bolt them into the stock bracket after grinding tabs for stock pegs off and drilling. You can move the pegs up and back about a half of an inch. Costs you about $50 and an hour of your time.
Another way is to buy the CFM rearsets and then buy a Suzuki shift pedal and peg, a shift rod (I think it is 9 and a half inches, but I will measure it if anyone is interested) and go to your local Suzuki dealer and buy a TL 1000 hiem joint that bolts to the shift shaft. This way you can GP shift.

Nice looking setup there.
With the higher pegs you will be less likely to drag them.....but if you do happen to low side with fixed pegs they are nice since they will support the bike during the slide and grind away instead of having potentialy more expensive damage.

D-Day, could you please measure the rod and post it. I'm interested in this setup. Thanks.

The rod is 9" long. Also, for clarification, you only need one standard peg (for the right side) and I took the brake pedal and cut it down about an inch, and drilled it and put the CFM tip on it, so it looks the same as the shift side.
The whole set up was around $300.
