Title: handlebars
Post by: Daryl Goss on January 12, 2005, 07:42:01 PM
Does anyone have any suggestions for handlebars that would put me in a more aggressive riding position for a 2004?  Also, any tips on removing the warning stickers on the tank (they seem to be very hard to remove)?

use a hair dryer to heat it up as you peel it off. then use goo gone to remove the residue. you may be left with an outline shadow...

I have the SM 2's and love them but if I had to do it again I probably would hit up Srinath.  You might ask him.

If you'll be doing alot of in-town riding I wouldn't suggest anything other than stock because it's hard on your wrists.  If you're on the freeway alot the wind will push you back a little bit taking the weight off your wrists, which is nice...I have Srinath's SM knockoffs and they look cooler than stock but are really made for going fast.

Yea twisties is what I thought ... but OK going fast ... the stock bars though are just plain painful city or highway or twistie ... the SM's are most likely worse than the 2 bend ones I make ... the only solution ... OK I dont know ... but the clip on's I make will be the only thing that fits the F ... and its adjustable for angle etc but not for height ... so You have a choice of well nothing ... Pick what you want to do and buy the bars that work for that. twisties and highway ... true clipon's made by yours truly ... otherwise ... some dirt bike dominator bars maybe ... but they are extra extra wide ... great for leverage in the woods but lousy for squuezing between cars ... cut them to size if they can be cut ... I dont know ...
Cool.
Srinath.
