Title: fork rebuilding...
Post by: pixelmonkey on January 15, 2005, 03:19:12 PM
i'm in the process of replacing the oil, seals and wipers on the front of the 92.

my question is.... how do i get the tubes out of the lower leg? i'm used to seeing a large hex or allen bolt when tearing down dirt bikes, so this is throwing me a curve.

i have the springs out
the bolt at the bottom of the fork leg is loose, but i know it's attached to something.

tool i need is....

please help me out.

tearing down the rear for a while. i'll be back to check in a bit.

i drop a 7/8 inch nut down the tube followed by a socket, many extensions and a ratchet so it won't spin and remove that bolt
