Title: How do the fuel lines run on a '96?
Post by: WarriorRacer#13 on January 17, 2005, 10:25:14 AM
I'm reasembling my buddy's '96 GS500 after he and his neighbor diassembled it (the carbs and tank and stuff), post-lowside, without knowing what they were doing.

I've got the caarbs cleaned out and reassembled and sync'd and the crash damage fixed, but am at a loss on the fuel lines.  I think I read on here somewhere that there's only one way that is correct, and any other way, the bike won't run.  I'd really like to get this thing back together and get him back on the road.  Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

I've gotta question.. what is a good way to connect the vacuum hose to the left carb... (that goes to the petcock)... it wants to rub against the throttle cable assembly.. I've got it zip tied out of the way right now though

zip tie it in the way so that way it can wear through and then you have all kinds of fuel problems.    seriously though, as long as your not pinching it it is fine
