Well after a several month long lay off from motorcycling, I am back in the saddle again.
Tomorrow I will be picking up:

It will need new tires and a couple minor cosmetic touches but the bike runs great and only has 11K kilometers on it.
Adam (now a 2-smoker)
good job adam....glad to see you got the bike you always wanted....you had a 250 2 stroke before right?
awesome....happy wrenching :thumb:
great news. Congratulations on your new-to-you bike...nice find.
Well, I had a Honda CBR 250 about 5 years ago (4 stroke) The CBR probably weighed 350lbs and made 40hp. The NSR weighs around 290lbs and should be making around 60hp, although this one will need expansion chambers and free flowing cans to get that power (has been desrestricted though).
The bike is dirty in the pics, but I looked at a couple (including a fairly rare SP model) and this was the best for the money.
so i quess you moved back home right? what did you do with your gs race bike?
btw, can you take some more pics of your nsr...that thing looks awesome
Cool bike! We don't get those in the states. (do we?) :dunno:
I am still overseas.
I rode the NSR yesterday through city traffic and I have to say that this is the worst commuter bike I have ever been on! The riding position is quite extreme, with a lot of weight on your wrists, and the bike is not particulary torquey at all.
The flip side is that the bike is so small and light that it really does just feel like an extention of your arms. I can't wait to get a chance to explore some back roads.
The bike has ok power off the line, then is rather mild until about 8K, but past that until about 12-13K, watch out, as the bike really flies.
When my friend connects to messenger, I will post a pic that we took yesterday.
