Title: New Owner, '91 GS500E
Post by: bikingrenee on January 23, 2005, 09:52:05 PM
Hi everyone -

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Renee, I live in New York City and I bought a '91 GS500E about a month ago. It's my first bike and I got it for a steal on craigslist. I've been doing general maintenence on it over the past few weeks with my boyfriend's assistance (he's a VFR owner) and I'm loving learning about this bike. Every time I sit on it and start it up, it puts a smile on my face. Can't wait for this two feet of snow to melt and the days to click by so I can take it out. Many parking lot rides in my future, since I just took the MSF course this summer, but I'm looking forward to learning with this bike.

A quick hello. Ya'll look like an interesting bunch.

Renee

Welcome to the board!

We don't get alot a lady folk round these here parts.  Good to see another one that ain't afraid to ride up front.  Well, a certain amount of fear is suggested, if not required...it'll help keep the rubber side down.

Indeed we do! Remember that no one in New York is actually from New York.  :)

Welcome Renee!  :thumb:
You'll have a blast - I did last year, my first year riding a bike ever! The GS is the best IMHO to get started or just keep riding for years to come.
I feel your pain - waiting for the snow to GO! :(
Ride safe
Dandy D.
