Woo Hoo! Check it out:

The previous record was set in July 2004 ... I believe it was in the high 30's. :o
Sweet!
Wasn't the old record 36 or something back in the summer? Wow, that's a lot of people not being productive at work  There were a lot of guests when you took that screenshot, many many lurkers.
Another new record:
QuoteMost users ever online was 60 on Mon Jan 24, 2005 8:02 pm

x2
omg this is sad.. we need to go out and recruit!
Another site that I frequent was hit by some kind of data miner yesterday. There were 40 guests online but you cannot go to but one forum unless logged in. The site admin had to shut the site down for a while since whoever was trying to hack it ended up spamming the site with emails from various members as coming from the site.
I do frequent here often during the day but only log in when I want to post something. Part of my job requires me to be online as I manage our company webserver and have to do searches for material.
I have to say that I love this site. I'm basically on from 7a to 4p, Monday thru Friday. No internet at home, so hardly ever a weekend visit.
I just leave a window open to this site pretty much 24/7.
dgyver, I considering browsing this site from work as part of my job; my job description very clearly says I need to "proactively monitor the network", and if the Internet is working, then I bet the rest of the network is working ok too :)

And agian, another one. Man, we all need to get a life. :?
i'm rarely on this site during the day, no internet at work. but I pop in several times each night.
Being family or work bound most of my waking hours, I can honestly say that I spend more time researching and discussing motorcycles than I spend riding them. Probably by a factor of four. Now that's sad.
BUT, at least I didn't have to take out a mortgage for mine!

Hey Kerry (perhaps someone else can answer), I have a technical, forum question:
... What is the rule for counting a user as still being on-line? :dunno:
I can understand counting page hits from an TCP/IP address identify a user. My guess is that there's some time-out period before someone is assumed to have gone elsewhere, at which time the counter should go down?
Am I right? How long between hits from a user would then constitute debiting the counter?
Just curious. My mind is wandering. It's -4F outside right now, 6" or white stuff on the ground and I'm at least 50 days before the effects of Spring start to take hold. Reading posts about dirty carbs has given me an irrational concern that my Sta-bil won't work and my carbs are now gummed up. It's been 60 days since I last rode -- can you tell?
I couldn't say. :dunno:
It seems like I used to see something like "in the last 5 minutes" next to the list of users browsing a particular forum. But I can't even find that now.
I've never read (or seen) any of the phpBB code, but perhaps john or The_good_guy have?
