Check it out, I hung out with Colin Edwards (http://www.colinedwardsii.com/) on Saturday (He was in Vancouver this weekend for a motorcycle seminar that my friend was putting on as a benifit for kids with cancer) - he's a very cool guy!

We all got very drunk, good times were had by all.
Wow! Cool! 8)
Now that is really cool...I wish I could have been there.....
yea, that's cool. Haven't seen you post in a while Meighan, Hope your doing well.

Thanks, I'm doing *okay*... still "under observation" because of my nerve damage and post concussion crap.. having killer headaches, but it's not stopping me from looking for a new bike. Need to get happening with that soon since racing starts in March!
I'm a new-ish member, so I feel like I'm butting in but. . .
What happened? Where you in an accident?
Also, do they have any snow in Whistler? :P

I crashed back in October, wrote off the bike, landed myself in the hospital.
http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13031No snow in Whistler or any of the local mountians... Colin was actually upset about that, one of the reasons he was here this weekend was for some snowboarding. He flew in from Sepang, Malaysia and was looking forward to the snow.
I'm flying in on the 16th. I'm considering changing my trip at the last minute to Utah or Colorado b/c I hear there are people in B.C. that just sit there, crying, because there is only 12 inches of base. Record snows in UT and CO. . .
Give me three good days of snow. . . can you make that happen for me?
Sorry to get side tracked. I'm stoked Edwards snowboards too!
Oh, and I hope you get to feeling better!
You'll come back 100%! :thumb:
Very cool of you meeting Colin Edwards. He always seemed like a good guy.
Glad you are back and on the mend somewhat. The headaches are worrysome, the nerve damage still might fade away in time... I hope. You really did smack your mellon good didn't you? Thank god for helmets :thumb: Just imagine if you weren't...
Hope you stay in touch with the board! We always like having a woman's perspective around here  :thumb: And keep healing :thumb:

I'll will continue to pray to the snow gods for more snow... although it hasn't been very productive as of yet!
Yep Colin is a total snowboarding fanatic,
Josh Hayes was up here this weekend with us as well, and he was also very upset about the lack of snow. Not surprizing that the guys are all snowboarding freaks, we're all adrenaline junkies aren't we!
I have the worst luck with snow. You get 110 inches, on average, in JANUARY every year. Not this year. . . nooooooooooo!
Man, I swear, if I were snowboarding at the north pole the freakin' ice cap would melt! Ahhhhh. . . this sucks.
You need to get another GS so you can have an excuse to post on this forum more often!

It has really been the best of both worlds lately: Slugs of snow in the mountains, but fairly mild in the valleys. Here is a picture of Mt. Timpanogos that I took on Saturday, standing about 300 yards west of my home. The peak is at 11,750. The bare patches aren't melted snow - they're vertical rock. (No ski resorts on
this side of the mountain!)

The best-known resorts near SLC (Salt Lake City) and Park City are roughly 30 miles north along this same mountain range. Some of the runs go as high as 10,000 feet or so if I remember correctly.
Fantastic pic Kerry! I hope you take advantage of the proximity of those 'hills' for skiing :) I haven't gone to the mtns yet this year but soon. I hear Marmot Basin in Jasper Nat. Park, Alberta has fantastic conditions.
Just to add to Meighan's thread about Collin Edwards (glad your healing Meighan - go easy) you might want to check out www.bikeland.org for an interview with some of the attendees of that event. Its pretty good - the interview, the people and, of course, the cause.

hey megihan,
good to see you back on this site, but im sorry to hear about the pains. May I suggest chiropractor for the pains.. a pinched nerve can cause that.. I used to have bad backaches and stuff and by regular visit to the massage fellow (who also is a licenced chiropractor) my pain is gone and i can flex. I go once a month or two (wheever i get time).
The first service he managed to let my spine realign itself and most of my pain immediatley disappeared. I was so stressed then, and i still remember it going crack crack crack crack down my spine and then i was like all new. Look into a good chiropractor.
Man...what is it with that Colin guy always hanging out with hot chicks....check out the photo gallery on his site...every other picture he's either hanging out with his hot wife or some umbrella chick... those GP guys have it made...
Meighan, I missed you at Whistler... I looked around for you there and while I was driving through Vancouver...didn't see you. Maybe I just didn't recognize you...I thought you would be wearing the fur coat and boots. I was there for Thanksgiving...it was really fun riding in the gondola down the mountain. Hope you feel better soon. That chiropractor sounds promising.
