Title: Clipped handlebar mount pics for ttfour
Post by: Dom on January 31, 2005, 10:50:32 PM
Couple different angles:

The previous owner had clip-ons and modified the handlebar mount...they did a hack job so I had to clean it up. Impossible to notice it...especially painted black.

BTW all those white speckles are polishing compound splatters from when I buffed my tank...I'll get around to washing it off one of these days.

No problems at all.  Of course there is too much you can remove...so be conservative and remove as little as possible.  A belt sander with 100 grit will clean things up nicely.  I suggest using a jig saw with a regular wood cutting bit in it.  A hack saw will take a loooong time...it's aluminium and it's soft so it will gum up the teeth on a hack saw...cut it like you would cut wood, except remember that it will dull the heck out of any saw blade that isn't carbide tipped.
