Hey,
Just cleaned the carbs, repainted some parts on the bike, HOPING everyting would just come back together w/out any problems, just maybe once in my life. So I get everything back on. Start her up, idling at 3k, SHOOT, oh wait, maybe my throttle cable is a bit to tight. So it was, easy fix.
She starts right up, idling perfect. I get on it hoping for the best. Soon as I pull the throttle, she putts allong like nothing, hardly any acceleration at all. Really sad, I was dissapointed, but expected something to go wrong.
I was searching for a topic on this but only thing i could come up with was syncing my carbs. I'm not sure if I want to try this yet because I have never done it and was hoping it would be something easier.
THanks for the help,
Matt
Sounds like one of your cylinders isn't firing. Could be a bad spark plug or wire or something. It is hard to tell when just idling. One day I was checking my plugs and forgot to put one back in  It idled just fine but really lagged when I pulled out.

Edit: the plug
was in, but I forgot to put the wire cap thingy back on.
OK you getting gas in the floats ?? also see if both your slides go up and down fine ... Put your hand in air box after taking filter out and move both slides up and down. Also check for vacuum leaks. BTW you open the tank petcock ??
Cool.
Srinath.
made sure you put the mains back in? TIGHT? had one of my mains fall off inside the bowl 3 days after cleaning, wouldnt rev above 3k underload.
