Post by: dolepineapple on February 06, 2005, 10:05:53 AM
beautiful weather only gonna last one day and
my bike won't start!

i put it on the charger a few days ago for a bit. . .
until the full charge light came up. . .

put the battery in the bike and you can hear the crank trying to start the bike. . .
but the engine just won't start. . .

any hints anyone?
it's about 5 degrees celsius out there. . .

OK You might have to put it in prime for a minute ... and choke on ... what else was done to bike before winter storage ...
Cool.

yup, what srinath said...put in on prime when ever you're starting the bike that's being sitting for a while.

also give some gas if you have to :thumb:

It takes a LONG time to get it started if it hasn't run in a LONG time.  Remember you may end up flooding it if you try too many times.  In that case, NO throttle when trying to start.

bike was in storage for one month
oil wasn't/hasn't been changed for 200 km
battery was fully charged 1 week ago

regardless,
thank you for the tips and i'll remember to put the gas flow to prime next time

i put it away
*sniff* without a ride today. . .
i'll have to wait till the snow clears up i guess
