Title: Carburetor suggestions for turbo
Post by: 94gsrider on February 07, 2005, 02:04:21 PM
I have posted a few times now regarding my turbo-project and apprecaite the feedback you all have given me.

I am trying to select a carburetor to run for my draw though setup.  I have seen Mikuni makes a "turbo" carburetor in 42mm, 45, and 48mm.  If anyone has any info on how these carbs are designed for turboed engines I'd like to find out more.  Also, as far as sizing goes, I am at a loss in finding the proper size carb as I have not found the cfm ratings on any motorcycle carbs.

Any feedback will be appreciated.  Thanks

Have you looked at that older turbo post?  Im not sure but I think there was some info on carbs in that.

Heres the thread I was talking about.

the first thing I am thinking of is fuel starvation due to no flow from the petcock valve, my GS500 has always had flow on the poor side due to the location of the valve almost parallel with the carburetors, I have considered and would suggest adding a fuel pump of some sort,
