4.3 ft. lbs at 8400 RPM
52mph top speed
49mph

if your going to change motors why not go bigger with a 125 or better yet a 250? how nutty would that be, a 250cc race motor in a 244lb streetbike  now thats somthin i would buy :thumb:
I believe that they make those Derbis with 250's but do not sell in the USA
the frame and swingarm might not be able to take the beating from the larger cc engines but then, who knows
bikes like these are popular in europe. since they are 50cc or less, they are classified as scooters and can be ridden without a license.
I recall saying the same thing on another post... nice looking bike but I've seen bigger cans holding cheap beer at the 7/11...

You can buy beer at 7/11 down there? I wish.
In CA you can buy Wiskey in the grocery store
wonder how the suspension is.
a 50cc with a killer suspension would be a kick at the track (and in the twisties, though you'd probably have to trailer there).
Jethro from socalsvriders (http://www.socalsvriders.org/) was saying he races in a 50 or 80cc class.
sounded like a lot of fun.

The beer thing doesn't apply to all states. The fed's let each state decide.

We can only buy alcohol at Liquor Stores here. Every single store is government owned and operated. You cannot buy any type of alcohol at any stores except at the liquor marts. Its cool though, getting paid 20$/hour to sell booze. LOL. I work for the government selling alcohol. Gotta love it. :thumb:
Here in the UK bikes of 50cc are classed as mopeds restricted to 3hp and 30 mph and can be ridden at the age of 16 on a provisional license while displaying L plates. Its all about safety.
