im talkin about the hose. in case u cant tell, the top half of the picture is the air box the bottom half is my empty battery box. the hose was between the two and i gave a lil tug and it poped up. cant figure out if its supposed to be connected to something. the other end looks like it goes to the carbs.. help asap cause i wanna put the bike back together! thanks

does it go to the carbs or to the airbox? it looks like the vent hose except it's clean. so really I just got your hopes up that someone replied with the answer when in fact you just wasted your time reading this. muhahhahahah (evil laughter)
I believe that's the hose that attaches to the little nip on the battery... :dunno:
the battery one is usually clear and mounts on the othere side (there is a little hole in the battery box for it to go down through.
the breather tube? cause thats not it for sure. that is much smaller in diameter and on the right side. this tube runs over top of the airbox and seems to go right into the middle of the carbs (cant get a good look w/o removing tank). like i said before, the end u see was stuck down between the airbox and the battery cage thinger.
well hold your thumb over it and start the bike. if there isn't any vacuum or pressure than it's fine just being stuck back between there. if there is than you need to figure out whare it goes
well i consulted mr. clymer and he cant give me a certain answer. he says it could be a breather tube according to one diagram of the airbox, however according to the carb breakdown diagram it appears to be a feul hose. im leanin towards the breather tube since i cant see where it would hook up. i would like someone elses opinion still!
so i looked around the clymer manual and found that this is indead a carb vent hose. i dont see anything in the book that indicates there is something to connect the end too. in the carb breakdown diagram it is labeled as fuel inlet hose. got me all confused. ok so i answered my own question!

thanks for the confirmation! i guess i can scratch that one off the list!
and with a stupid pun like that it whould seem that you are asking for his title.
hey i'd take anything but this one. its boring
I'm late to the party, but if you want to feel doubly good about the answer you came up with, see the diagram at the bottom of my Fuel Hose Routing (http://www.bbburma.net/FuelHoseRouting.htm) page.
where were u around 1:30 when i was standing outside in the cold scratchin my head and pagin through the book??
well it took me about a wopping 30 seconds to go back and SEARCH using the words fuel hose diagram and the first thread other than this one had a direct link to that page.
that could have worked if i knew what it was called. but i didnt.. hence no searching
