what the heck is a dampener for the front sprocket?
stupid dealer today told me that aftermarket sprockets have a dampener in them and it was 55 bucks!!!...
wtf is he talking about...and just to clarify with him...i said that i just wanted one with 1 less tooth on it...and he was like...yes...as i said...blah blah blah...
is he stupid?...or is there such a thing???
another thing...apparently dealers here in canada dont' have jetkits in their catelogue...and individual jets are 10-20 bucks each!!!...and you have to buy it in package of 10s...so retarded...
.............oh...did I say that i HATE dealers??
There's no such thing for the front sprocket. The front shocks, but not the front sprocket. Now, the rear sprocket hub has rubber cushions, that you might call dampeners.
front sprocket ..... $15-24 bucks from just about any body
you seem to got somebody talking out their ass.... :?
Its true. The suzuki dealer here in winnipeg charged me 20$ for my front sprocket and install for my F model, as well as saying he would rejet my carbs for less then 50$. So i think your dealer is f%$king you around.
all dealers in my area SUCKS!

a rejet for less than 50?! that cant be right. or can it?
I might have forgotten to add the part where i gave them 5000$ in business cauz a little accident i got. lol. That might be why the 50$ for the rejet is so cheap. But then i dont know what it normally costs, so who knows :dunno:
it's not the dealers in canada....it's probobly just your local dealers
my sprocket was $11 and 4 jets were $20 cnd
anyone have the part number for a 2003 15 tooth front sprocket?

The parts fiche don't show anything but the stock 16-tooth unit, so I couldn't say whether there is an official Suzuki 15-tooth sprocket or not.
Even though the fiche on my links page don't include listings & diagrams for the 2003 model year, they DO show that the 16-tooth front sprocket had the same part number from 1997 through 2004. So if you can find a 15-toother for any of those years you're good to go.
I know that you're in Canadia  but the online sources listed on my
Chains & Sprockets page are the only ones I have researched. :dunno:
(Yes, I know the sprocket changed around '94. But the fiche pages are apparently organized to group many - or most? - parts in the following ranges:
1989-1996
1997-2000
2001-2003
2004[/list:u]So, even though the '89 - '96 group shows two different sprockets for each of those years ... it ain't so. The later bikes can accept the earlier sprockets, but not the other way around.)
