Title: Fork Seals
Post by: goat on February 22, 2005, 12:05:12 AM
I'm going to be installing progressive springs in the near future, and I am wondering whether or not I should just replace my fork seals while I'm at it.

I have a 93' with 7k miles. The dust covers look like they are in pretty good shape, but who knows if that means anything.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

for that year of bike... likley a good investment.

there are several threads on here with details of what you need to take on the forks WITHOUT power tools!

if your seals look something like this, maybe it's time to replace them (http://missourimx.com/gs500/Picture%20039.jpg)

hope it helps!

If your fork leg looks all wet like that, change the seals.
