Title: Rear Fender
Post by: BigAl6747 on February 22, 2005, 08:49:06 AM
I did a search and found that many of you have eliminated the blocky rear fender by simply cutting it down to size.  I am considering doing this but was wondering if any aftermarket companies make one of those rear fenders that wraps right around close to the rear tire for the GS.  Thanks.

--------WARNING-------

If you trim your rear fender too much and ride in the rain with a passenger, he/she may get a wet streak up their backside.

I put my license plate and registration sticker pablo style to help make up for the lack of fender. My tail light gets a little dirty sometimes but that's it. Seems to stop above the tail light where it says suzuki. Check out the pic of my LED tail light to see what I'm talking about.

I think one of the moderators on the UK site http://www.gs500e.co.uk/
had some huggers made and was selling them on the site but they were not cheep due to tooling up for a small number, they were seeing if demand was there for a larger run, check it out, who knows.

Who cares, it happened to us as a kid when we rode our little bikes.  If you are a good enough rider, you can dodge the rain!
