Hello all, just recently purchased a 1993 GS500E with 2827 miles on it. Im rather excited but completely lost at the same time. This is my first motorcycle. I really want to change the color as the guy we bought it from painted it like a blaze orange. I plan to take the MSF class ASAP. Any ideas or help with making my bike different? Also general motorcycling tips as well are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bobble7
hey bobby! uh. hmmm i got one. rubber side goes down.
LoL thanks. What part of PA you from? I've been to Seven Springs Ski Resort a few times.
Is it this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4528332061&category=6027) perchance?
I have a 93', too. I love her, even when I have to rebuild the engine (overall, they are reliable bikes). Good bike, great forum.
Get yourself some good gear (http://gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15316), and like the weasel said: Rubber side goes down
LoL yea thats the purchase :)
You will love that little G and this forum too. Nice lookin' scooter BTW. I'm lovin' my little White Owl and the forum.
C........
Whats yalls honest opinion on the color? Oh and should I be suspicious of the low miles?
I always thought competition orange looked good on a bike. Put a little striping on it and it would really stand out. I like it. Just from the pics the bike looks taken care of. As far as miles, the White Owl is an '89 and only has 5xxx miles on her and is like mint, so, yeh the miles could be real. Love that little GS and this forum.

There was actually a discussion about it (http://gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15222) already.
LoL now im embarrassed
uh im from around philly. i've heard of seven springs but dont know where it is..
that orange ROCKS. If you want to be different, you got it. you dont need to do anyting to it. But, you could start with better looking mirrors, solo seat cowl, air dam (bottom scoop), and remove that damn rear fender!
check out my site (link below) for some other ideas. The sv headlight would look fabulous on that. so would SM bars.
welcome to the site. and congratulations.
Embrace the color-its the differences that makes us all interesting.
thanks pantablo, could you provide me some links for those things mentioned. I used the links on the site but i have no idea what im looking at lol or what exactly im looking for
thanks,

Hey, I'm right in the middle of you two. I live in Chambersburg, PA. That's almost halfway between Silver Springs and Philly. We should meet up this summer in Harrisburg and ride!!!!
