ok, so I looked into it and for 20 bones a set (min 5 sets) I can make them in any length.
These would either lower or raise the bike?
well if you make longer ones than they lower the bike, and shorter ones raise the bike.
You just blew my mind. . .
what did you expect,....no these are the same as the stock ones just out of aluminum so they are lighter by 3.457235 ounces per side. ...
If they are aluminium they will be less strong than stock, more flex. Did you account for that by making them thicker? Just say yes.
Anyway, I'm in. I havn't received my '03 gsxr shock yet(it's in the mail, I hope...) but I'm pretty sure it's the same as the one you used, so I'll need some with the same dimensions as yours.

Aluminum dog bones come stock on most sport bikes.
I'm not worried about the aluminium, I'm worried that if they are the same dimensions as the steel ones they will be too weak. But dav is the man when it comes to calculating strength with aluminium v.s. steel and whatnot so I'm not stressing anything, just wondering.
Yea that dog bones are really what crapped dog sheite under DOM's bike, and he blamed the carbon can ...
Cool.
Srinath.
I'll take a set in whatever length is required to mount that newer GSXR shock you've been working on. (gotta hit ebay for a shock now..see what you did???).
Is it possible to get near stock ride height with that newer GSXR shock?
yep, the ones I made are the same ride height.
i'm down for a set to lower mine 1 inch. i'm only 5'3 and would like to be able to flat foot it or get as close to it as possible.
i might be down with a set to bring mine back to stock height with a katana shock.
hey, i might be down for a set that'd lower the bike about an inch too.... anyone have any input as to whether this would change handling? this was mentioned in previous posts.

I'm in. Lemme know when they're done!
