The hardest part is knowing whether the '04 takes the same springs as the earlier years.  If so, then see the first post in the Chaparral price hike on Progressive springs!!! (http://gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10732) thread for the cheapest source I am aware of (MAW).  There is no "direct link" straight to a single item because of the way their pages are organized.  But that post tells you what to do.

If you're a Dennis Kirk fan and don't mind paying an extra $18  :o  they have the same item for $75.99  (Part number 58968)

Probably.  But I keep remembering something about the forks now being made in Spain or something.  I don't know if that means they are changed at all, or if they're just made in a different plant.  :dunno:

Looking at the micro fiches, the 04 part number is different that looking at the 01 fiche. Not sure of the difference. The forks are made in Spain as of the 04 models.

Hey Tomimoto,

the springs i have are "progressive suspension" part number 11-1128. Made a big difference in the feel of the bike...the stock ones are such crap.
