Howdy!
I just bought a 1994 GS500E for my GF. So far, so good! The bike seems to have a decent amount of pep and is a hoot to ride!
Since it appears that I will be doing most of the maint. on this bike, I will probably be chiming in here and there.
Thanks for the great site!

Welcome
Thanks!
I love this site already! 2 minutes with the search function and I already found out why the forks are so soft, what springs people use for this model, and where to get them! Excellent!

You ever take it off any sweet jumps?
Welcome to the site, lots of useful info here. For the front forks, buy some Progressive springs, not sure of the link, but Kerry will probably chime in here with it soon.

Too lazy to search. thread.
But it sounds like
wraithR1 already found what he needed. :thumb:
Thanks, gentleman!
I'm suprised tthe GS500 shipped with such soft forks! Needless to say, I have an appointment with my local shop to have the springs replaced and maybe some heavier fluid. We will see....

Gosh! Yeah! What do you think?!
My GF and I went for another ride today (she will be in the MSF course shortly) and I am impressed with the ridability of the GS500. She's learning quickly and without any drama. And to think...I was considering a EX500/500R!
Thanks again!
