Well, I got my bike free from my flight school, I have the bill of sale and I am working on getting the title to it from the DMV. The original owner was a spanish student who just left it when he was done and it has sat for 3 years. A new battery and a few dollars and I got it running, you can see the before and after pictures of it on the wall of fame under members DENISB. Let me know what you think I would appreciate any advice you have about body mods.
welcome and congratulations!
check my site for lots of ideas!

That's awesome! Nothing is better than anything that's free! Good luck w/ it... and I thought I was having a good week... I'm going to look at a pair of CB350s that a guy only wants $300 for on Friday...

Word of advice: 3 years! Don't mess around, just take those carburetors out and send them to Srinath! See http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11190

Thanks again to everyone. My bike is and 89 GS500. When I got the bike it had a spray painted silver frame that looked like crap and the original white paint had been covered with a bad spray can red paint job. As for the frame I found some cool "Black Textured Metalic" paint from "Duplicolor" at a local Autoparts store and I had sanded the frame down to make it all smooth and then shot it. It came out really well and some other BIG GS (GSXR1000) guys and some YZFR1 guys loved the feel and color. Next step is to do a carbon graphite wrap on the tank, fender and body panels and maybe even reapholster the seat. The original headlight was destroyed and the wrong light is installed, so I am planning on getting some of the new type of driving lights and making a cowling for the front of the bike to install them in, which will also be made from carbon graphite. All in all the bike should look pretty crazy when I have finished.
Safe and Happy riding.
