Title: Funny noise
Post by: Smiley on March 15, 2005, 10:04:01 AM
Hi there, after a couple weeks of owning my 89 GS I can not tell you what a great bike it is. I really enjoy riding it,  :) I was just thinking if I'd had a bike like back in the early sixties when I was  riding round the North Circular in London to the Ace cafe. (Only Brits will understand that)  Anyway the funny noise  I stopped at some trffic lights after having ridden about ten miles and there was a sort of  ctack....ctack.....ctack.....ctack coming from I think the rocker box cover. I blipped the throttle but the noise didn't change in speed, almost like a clock but louder, could hear it with a full face helmet on. Rode away and could no longer here it till I stopped again. Everything seems to be normal in terms of performence. Any ideas pleas :dunno:
