I got some baseball and football cards that may have been worth something awhile ago (14 years), but is there a market now? Looking on ebay it seems that cards are worthless now except for the big time players. Thoughts on what i could do with them?
Cards are so worthless right now for that era. The biggest reason is because it was the most popular time for it and there were so many versions produced. I'm in the same boat as you. Big Jose Canseco collector. That bastard is single handedly bringing all baseball cards down in price right now. Worse yet, I was a big hockey card collector too. No more hockey. No more people wanting hockey cards. :(
My advice would be to just hold onto them for another decade and see what happens. :thumb:
I have a whole collection of Nolan Ryan cards... :)
Sounds like beanie babies.
Here's an idea from my childhood...we clipped baseball cards onto the forks of our bikes so that the spokes would slap them as we rode. It made a sorta cardboard raspberry sound. :P
A little duct tape should work on the fork of the GS with a card or two and TA-DA...you can get a neat noise from the GS and take out your frustrations on the baseball entertainment industry and those who are paid more than the Gross Domestic Product of some 3rd world countries.
It's just an idea. :)
Either that or just throw them out.
or hold on to em and give em to a poor child who aint got shaZam!, and watch their face brighten :thumb:
