Title: compatible speedometers
Post by: gp on March 16, 2005, 08:49:45 PM
Hi,

what is the most compatible speedometer that I can use to replace the speedo on my '89 gs?

I saw one on a honda spada that I thought may fit, however I was told that it may register an incorrect speed as it has to be compatible with the gears - is that true??

thanks,
gp

Oil cooled gixxers, Katanas up to 97.  Any old Suzuki with a front wheel driven speedo.  I'm currently running a Katana front end hooked up to a stock speedo.  They'll all read the same as long as the bike came with a 17" rim.  Stay away from the early slabside gixxers.  Hardest part will be getting the speedo into the GS gauge housing.
