Title: Let the saving begin!!!
Post by: TOMIMOTO on March 18, 2005, 04:43:47 PM
Well just paid the last $1000 off that I owed on my little GS. I now fully own my scooter. I feel proud of myself. I bought it in late July and paid it off in early March. So much for all that interest I owe on the 4 year loan. Hehe. Suckers. It was pretty funny. My statement said my next payment wasn't needed until May 2007.

Now all I have to pay is 400 bux to my dad for the insurance. I'll have that paid off by next week then I'll be debt free. Sweetness. Now I can start saving for something else. Or start modding the GS.

Oh, and did I mention it was my birthday.

PS. I paid fully for the bike by myself.............so don't give me no cuff!

Tomimoto is now "paid in full" on his bike. Love the Baby G and this forum.
(Now go check out a Buell XB12)

I turned 19 at 7:10PM today. I already feel too old. I don't like birthdays anymore. My 18th was cool, but now too many responsibilities are being thrown at me and I still have that big question as to what I am going to do with my life. It sucks. I wish I could stay 18 forever but don't we all.

The Buell is pretty cool but right now I need to save up for a car. My 4.0 is close to 170k miles on the original everything. It's going to crap out probably within a year or 2.

In a year I'll either put a down payment on a new car or probably buy another bike.

I will be selling the GS in the Fall though so anyone who is interested at that time let me know.

If I get a bike it will probably be an inline4 repli racer. I'm not really a fan of naked bikes or twins.

You are correct.  After 18 it's downhill.
Sorry about your birthday, you have my condolences.

well i turned 19 a few months ago, and i know how you feel, the whole world comes crashing down on you with responsability, the floodgates are wide open now, but don't despair because now is the time to make your "things to do before i die" list.

Heres an example of my list

-Get a motorcycle-X
-Learn to surf
-Get a real sail boat with storage room for my bike
-tour the world on my sailboat and tour the countries on my bike when i dock the boat
-go skydiving
-go hang gliding
-Find the woman of my dreams who is at the same time my best friend
-shair all of the above experiences together with this woman

I am 30, and I feel like the same cat that thought the world was going to end because I was turning 19.

You'll learn that life is about one thing, really:

Paying your bills!

You've already learned that lesson, so everything else is just cream cheese.

when you turn 25 your insurance goes down.  after that, you have to wait until 65 for anything good to happen again.
