Title: GS sighting in Seattle
Post by: Dom on March 20, 2005, 11:09:35 AM
Ok, so I havn't seen another GS in Seattle for the past 6 months and then there's this '92(purple with pink stripes) sitting in front of my favorite bar, Jules Maes Saloon in Georgetown.  I left a note on it telling them about this website because I was so thrilled to see another one but I was just wondering if it was anyone's here; Roadstergal maybe?

Wasn't me, but I am a new GS owner (of a 1995) and live on Camano Island. I've cruised as far south as Lynnwood., but have mostly stuck to the backroads until my skills comes back a bit more.

Anyone else in the Seattle area? Anyone up for a group Puget Sound GS ride? Be nice to hang with someone who actually gets the thrill of fork spacers... ;)

William, we are planning a group ride/camping trip for sometime this spring.  Some folks from around here and some  outside Portland.  Also I am game for a ride over HWY 20- N. Cascades highway.

I'm totally up for a Hi-20 ride.  I gotta warn you, though,  that  I'm coming back to riding after a 15 year break, so I could be a  bit pokey  if you're into adrenalin type riding.

That said, the Cascades on a sunny spring/summer day are hard to top .

Dom, what is that trail map on your avatar?

Just wondering. . . My guess is that if it is near where you live, there was not enough snow to even open this year.

I agree, I've been on alot of roads and can only remember a few that impressed me as much as Hwy 20.

Jake D, my avatar is from a little resort about an hour out of Seattle called Alpental.  That's where I learned to ski.  Tiny little resort with first-class terrain.  On a sunny day if Chair 2 is open (for all the old schoolers who remember when it was still called "Chair 2")  you'll have a great time, regardless of whether the snow is good or not just because the views are ridiculous.
