I just put the wileyco on a week ago. Runs and sounds great.

That wasn't a stock exhaust before the WileyCo., was it?  It looks satiny silver at the manifold, and stainless after the join, underneath.

QuoteNice. No snow on the ground. Sad

supposed to mid 70-80 all week. gotta love texas weather...although it was freezing last week.

its stock. i just painted to headers and flange aluminum instead of black. it's already starting to flake at the headers. once it peels thru i'll paint again. only this time i'll make sure ALL the old crap is gone.

exactly what exhaust is that?  it's not the wileyco can with the flange from srinath.  looks like a slipon system.  what gives?

Its my flange and wiley co off a GSXR something ... The flange is to convert a bolt on into a slip on ...
Cool.

it is indeed a Wileyco Srinath Special. I liked the shine of the SS midpipe so much I decided not to paint it.

Hey Mondo ...
Have any trouble ... I have more of that same pipe to bend up ... BTW that pipe it makes nice bedrails for trucks ... but they slip on a GS head pipe perfectly ... The dudes at the muffler shop pretty much cried their heart out when I decided to have them slice up essentially $100 bedrails ... but off the scrap yard ... cost me closer to 20 for the pair ...    ... Whooo hooo slightly blemished shite ... The parts that were dented didn't even figure in the flanges ... they were in the bends by the bolt plates ...
And Do you like the high exit ... or is it too high ... or too low ???  :?
Cool.
Srinath.

everything went on without a struggle. except for the paint but i don't mind. i took your advice about using an innertube for the clamp on the can. my buddy who has a 04 ZX6R  thought it was so ghetto when i told him. but then i didn't spend half as much as he did for his two bros slip-on.

i think the can sits almost the same as the stock. maybe just a little higher.  its hard to imagine how my bike was when i 1st get her. it was that ugly maroon/red (sorry), tank was rusted beyond repair and the carbs were totally clogged up, handlebar was bent, missing mirrors. now it's a totally different bike.

my GS has come a long way thanks to GStwin. thanks again to everyone. i'm gonna go pet my GS before i go to bed...... :)

OK rusted tank ... I want ... yea I do want ... bad ... donate to name of science ... I'll make sure it helps the rest of the tanks and maybe go to heaven ... I ahve many a pernicious liquid waiting for their turn at it ... as is putting in air pressure ... and heat ... come on please ... I must ...
Cool.

With all do respect to wileyco.... 2 brothers makes great stuff, I dare say a little better quality than wileyco stuff. I had a full system on my 2000 VFR and it had great performance, and sounded like a F1 car.

I have purchased a wileyco can myself, I am just trying to figure out how I am going to get it on.. since the flange makeres are not currently making any.

Hey ... wait a sec ... Flanges need pre ordering ... just get on the list ...
I get 10 and they are a go ...
Now Wiley co is a heavy sucker, but its made with thick ass stuff ... made to last. Micron and 2 bros ... they make lighter pieces and those are made to perform ... That D&D I had too was the same way ... wileyco was just more robust, that was fragile and light.
Cool.

sorry, i didn't mean to knock on 2 bros. i just meant i think i got a better deal for the price i paid. and his exhaust is pretty sweet (CF). if only i had the money. i'm still trying to figure out how he can afford all his stuff.  :dunno:

i thought about putting it up for grabs(free ofcourse) but i wasn't sure its worth it. when counting the pinholes its like looking up at the stars on a clear night under the texas sky. plus, you'll see my feeble attempt to patch it up using that crap they sell over the counter. i do need to clear my garage.  it's yours if you really want it. i would only ask for shipping. its the least i can do for the innovative folks at the "Srinath GS Research and Development Center". FOR SCIENCE!!!!

Cool.

That midpipe looks mean.  Nice find Srinath.  I think I'm going to go the Jet-Hot route.  www.jet-hot.com

It's basically a ceramic coating, and would end up looking like ceramic-coated headers(chromed look) but is as tough as powdercoating if not tougher.

There's a place near Seattle in Auburn that will do GS headers for around $120.  Seems like a pretty good deal.

Performance Coatings, ask for Brad 253-735-1919
