Hey guys,
i found a undertail for the F and the E model. I got a e-mail from a company telling me they finally came out and produced one. Ill give you guys details in a few hours, they are giving me pictures.
Stefan
ALright, here are the images. You can either get it painted or unpainted. These pictures are unpainted. I got the email from him, just now. Unfortunately, this company is located in Europe. But its no different then getting one shipped from brazil. So here are the pictures.
I dont remember how much you paid for the kit from brazil, but this kit here unpainted costs $222 USD.
The painted kit would set you back $314 USD.
It is a direct replacement, and should fit WAY better then the kit from brazil that you guys had a hard time installing.
IMO you would be better off painting it yourself. But 200$ isnt that bad a price i guess. The website is http://www.freestreetdesign.com/. I could PM you a copy of the email he sent me, but it is in french. So, your choice. lol.

will it fit a 2000? it looks like it's only for the 2001+ models?
according to the picture, no it wont. waste of money..
Not meaning to rag on it but yucky looking IMO...
Hmm. I think it has some potential. I'd like to see it from a distance, instead of close up shots. Doesnt look bad.
Yea better pics and paint might help.
Now if only someone would make a hugger so you wouldn't get crap all over that undertail
I haven't been keeping up on things, do the GS500R guys in Brazil make a hugger?
here's a couple of pics for the pre 2001 models (http://www.freestreetdesign.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_57&products_id=162).
the pics look vaguely familiar...

Yeah, but if it was painted yellow, it wouldnt look that bad at all.
The one for Pre-'01 looks better.
How much do these things cost?
sorry to say this but...it's fugly. it's the two tail lights being so far apart...
their wz a recent price reduction this kit now goes for 169 i got a hold of the company a couple of months ago
Of course you did, Nick.
hey dude are u making fun of me?
it's cool to have the option; I personally dont think it's worth the money though. I think my fenderectomy looks a lot better & it didnt cost a dime. At some point I'll get around to changing the signals & maybe the brake light:

new signals & brake light can be done dirt cheap. is that fender really worth the $200+?
It's ok, but I think I'll just add that money into my "next motorcycle savings jar".
