A little white wine, a few chunks of bone-in lamb, water, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, can of vegall (or some fresh mixed veggies) and potatoes, plus a tablespoon of corn starch stirred into 1/4 cup of water the last hour of cooking to thicken up the gravy. Damn good eating when you cook it in a crock pot all day  Well the potatoes can't stew all day, but the rest does.
I love stew :thumb:
I should make a recipe book. I make up so many recipes myself.
you should try it with dog some time it's great.

So, John. How's the study going, then?
Start a recipe forum...that would be so cute (read: ghey). Biker boys in cute little aprons, cooking up some manly meals. :thumb:

So this would be your fantasy, then.
BTW I notice you are from Woodbridge and have a squid on your avatar. Here in Tassie there is a village called Woodbridge, where the local high school has Marine Discovery Centre, and also a friend of mine lives near there and he is a world authority on- yup, you guessed it- squid!
well...the fantasy is if you all were wearing the cute little aprons and nothing else...but I kept that to myself...until now.

Amanda, I'm a pretty good cook. I used to be 50% of a catering business that did OK. I draw the line a an apron though. Seriously I think all guys should learn to cook, the bottom line is that there in nothing manly about not being able to look after yourself.

i like my lamb with mint jelly. anyone else?
Cal,
You are absolutely right, I would never turn down a nice meal from my boyfriend (who also rides) but I would giggle at the sight of him in an apron making his way around the kitchen.
I hope production of the "Men of GStwin.com: All-Time Favorite Recipes" starts soon!!
I got a nice tender 6point buck a couple of weeks ago. Did a nice oven roast then saved the leftovers and did a bone in stew in the crockpot all day. MMMMMM awesome, wild game beats store bought anyday of the week.
LOVE lamb stew, especially with a big pile of garlic mashed 'taters! YEAH, BUDDY! Lamb should be going on sale in the days leading up to Christmas at your local store (I'm a butcher, so I know these things! I'm also a culinary school grad and I know how to make an awesome lamb stew!)
There is also a greek-owned diner near me that has lamb shanks and orzo on the menu every night of the week! :woohoo:
I been makin Deer Jerky all week.Got a 6 and 8 pointer given to me.What I haven't cut up yet is being Aged for a few days. :thumb:
