Title: The thingy!!!
Post by: supersoldier71 on March 23, 2005, 01:59:39 PM
Dropped the bike ( a BUNCH of times) and damaged the right side of the crankcase where the Suzuki emblem was glued on...big hole underneath!  Lost a lotta oil!  Does anybody have a Suzuki parts book?  The schematic on Bike Bandit.com has me  confused.  What's that part called?

Ignition Rotor Cover. You shouldnt have ANY oil under there though. You may need a new crank seal.

You can get new carbon fiber sitckers on this site to cover it (Pink/purple and yellow/green are available).

If I had oil coming out that hole, I'd sh@t egg rolls.

mrcycles.com has very detailed part drawings for nearly every part of your bike

Here's the fiche (http://www.psndealer.com/fiche/images/SUZUKI/1997/Motorcycles/1609_5.gif) borrowed from mrcycles.  I believe you are looking for item 11 and maybe the decal, item 13.  To find these online, just go to your favorite parts site (mrcycles, ronayers, bikebandit, ...), look up your bike, and this info is under "crankcase cover"
