hey guys what parts of the bike do you think might benifit from some poly urethane replacements. I havnt really taken a detailed look at what i could change over to polyurethane. I have 5 gallons of 94a poly. hard stuff used for making motormounts and bushings. , if there are any rubber parts on the sus this would definatly stiffen it up alot and take out alot of sloppyness. i just havnt really taken the time to study the bike.
Fork spring spacers! (to absorb those smaller bumps...) j/k
But you could make all kinds of replacement parts and sell them here. Such as: the handlebar rubber mounts, the gas tank rubber bumpers, the rear cowling/sidepanel rubber grommets, footpegs(!), or re-covered footpegs, and the under-seat bumpers.
Oh, and a friggin' plug for the swingarm pocket made by the swingarm-dogbone-shock-mount (that's always loading up with dirt).
good ideas! after this weekend I will be more free to do things on my time off so I think I will be taking a detailed look at the bike and seeing what I should replace with poly.
