I think it is closer to about 6 turns out

let me pull out my old carbs and see how many times I can turn the screw before it comes out

My mixture screw started at about 4 rotations from being screwed all the way in. You go 8 rotations after that to bring the screw completely flush with the carbs (a total of 12). An additional 4 turns brings the screw all the way out (a total of 16, but 12 from where it started)

cool...cuz now that i put on the pod filter...it's at 3.5 turns out...still running boggy...maybe 4 turns out??
