I need to buy a new rear tire. I am planning on buying a BT45 but, I just wanted to know were the cheapest price is.
Anyone?
Last summer when I went Internet shopping for a pair I thought the best price was found at Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse (http://www.accwhse.com/bridgest.htm).
I forget how much I paid, but at $82.95 plus shipping, I think the price is reasonable. MAW has a good reputation, and it was delivered right to my door -- isn't the Internet wonderful?
Anybody find a better price?
Roy...
PS. I asked my dealer what they'd buy it for. :) Let's just say that, tax in, it would be double this price. :)
Yea my dealer said $117 plus $20 to mount.
i think i paid 60 for mine, but then again my dad is really good friends with the guy.
Wow... everyone is always talking about these BT45's but, only 2 people have anything to say?
yea, bt45's, great tire.

About same price for BT45 at Chaparral as at MAW but shipping and handling charges are less at Chaparral.

Will a local mechanic fit a tire on that you buy?

Most do but prices vary pretty widely. Around here (Atlanta) it'd cost anywhere from $15-50 or so, per tire. Some places offer discounts on mounting if you buy the tires from them but typically the cost of the tires is higher. Your best bet is to shop around and compare total cost buying online vs in-store.

I was very surprised -- I called them today (April 1st) and the person I spoke with wouldn't sell them to me with free shipping. They offered me a 'reduced shipping rate' of $9 a tire, the same as Chaparral. I went with Chaparral (taking the opportunity to pick up some progressive springs at $69.95 while I was at it).
Damn, I wish I saw tdan's post two days ago. :)
