ok the directions on this regina chain SUCK. ive got it all together but the spring clip on there wont go on. it sais center the clamp on the groove and push on it with the pliers. there is no Flippen way you can do that.
help please anyone that has a chain put together with a master link
You have to compress it from the side first, I remember seeing a good thread about that so maybe try a search.
ok ive searched and read about people using clip master links.. but how do you get them on the directions dont make since and what do you mean by compress them from the side?
Assuming its and O-ring chain. Put the rings on so they go all the way to the other plate then connect your connecting link through the chain, then put the last two rings on, then put the plate on. Now you need to push all this together with plyers or something. Once you have that done you can try to get the clip on.

Read through that too.
I got it on. i used a c clamp to put the plate on the oring chain on the master link. the problem was the spring clamp or clip. the directions were crappy and its a pain in the ass to use plyers. next time I buy a chain I want it to be all one piece from the manufacture . its so much easier taking off the swing arm than puting in that damn master link. thanks for the help though.
anyone found a inexpensive pressing tool made for bike chains?...
i've found ones made for dirtbike/atvs...but not sure if they will fit the 520 chains...
