Title: bigger back tire?
Post by: rich on March 30, 2005, 05:59:11 PM
I'm interested in putting a bigger back tire on my 04' gs. Does anyone know how I would do that? Would I be able to put a 140 or bigger on the stock rim?

You'll find a lot more than that link if you do a search on tires.

dang, that drunk in OR hasn't chimed in yet?
320 tire will do nicely  ....on a gs...no
140 max unless you don't do curves...then a 150 and wear out the center
looks like shaZam!
rides weird when leaned over....therefore you won't lean it over anymore

A classic post, Jack.  :)  I've scraped and saved a copy of your knowledge for the next time I need a tyre.  Unfortunately it's about 6000 miles off as I have a fresh set of BT-45's mounted.

Yes, I have some questions for GS Jack. . .

Are you a robot?  And if so, were you created to pass on the oral tradition of tire sizes to teeming masses of the unindoctrinated?
