Post by: jefferygs500 on April 02, 2005, 05:37:35 PM
hey guys. I dunno but when i crack the throttle on my Gs the front doesn't really wanna lift at all. Do you guys use the Clutch or wheelie and isn't that awful hard on everything?????  What Gear, RPM's and stuff do you use to pull a wheelie thanks

anyway we can post the previous Wheelie thread as a sticky or put it in the FAQ area?  i would also like to see a Newbie sticky, been to acople forums that have those and it helps with alot of the repeat questions and often points to and shows how to use the forum search features.

Might want to read through this one. its one of the most recent threads.

well to get it to the balance point clutch it.  just mess around with the rpms a but, start at 5000 and gradually work you way up till its right for your technique and weight and all.  its pretty hard on the bike, especially learning.  to make it easier on the clutch pull the clutch in so it is barely dragging so your gear box and chain are not loose, then drop the clutch from there.  If you pull the clutch in all the way it slams the tranny and everything real hard and also makes it harder to get a steady wheelie.  But either way you do it expect to crash and break things.  oh ya always remember to cover the rear brake, its when you are about to flip the tap it to bring the front end down.

This has been covered a couple times. With the GS, yes, the powerband isnt quite enough to power it up. So yea, you do have to clutch it. Its fairly ez, just dont scare yourself.

agreed
there are a lot of questions being asked that we have more than 10 pages of answers already on the board

if the usual mods and the usual questions can be put somwhere, that would be great
