I need to make up ten questions regarding technology in the 50's and 60's. Now obviously this covers the space race and the moon landing, but what about the more user friendly electronics? Radio's, televisions, things of that sort. If anyone can help me in my search i will owe them a bag od oreo's (DOUBL STUFFED BABY) at the next gstwin ride :).

There was an episode of
The Screen Savers a while back with some old computers on it. They ones they had on there just used switches, 8 i think, you were basically manipulating the bits manually, 1 was up, 0 was down, something like that.
Most first computers actually wre composed of THOUSANDS of vaccum tubes, and required puch cards to input commands. These machines were massive too, im talkin couple hundred square feet, up to thousands of feet.
