Title: Engine gaurds
Post by: Brian Hanrahan on April 05, 2005, 09:14:10 AM
I have a 2001 GS500 and would like to get the Suzuki Engine gaurds. I found a place that has a set that is for bikes 1996 to 2000. Does anyone know if they would fit my 2001 bike. Thanks for the help.

Hey, Stick Man!   Good find; Suzuki doesn't make those case guards anymore.  They will fit all years up through 2002.

thoughts....
if you drop the bike or slide
you will do more than 50 bucks worth of damage.... if you don't have them
pics....they are black and made of steel

Yep. I picked up a set and they saved my engine casings from some bruises when I dropped her in a low water crossing one day out being adventourous...

Here's some pics on my bike... click to see the full size:

Kinda hard to see w/ the black engine but... you get the idea.
