also, check the torque on your axle nut... if it's too loose, those little plates are the only things keeping your wheel from shooting forward.

yeah, i know your pain dude, i hammered mine flat and found some Angle iron and welded it to the plate sl its like a triangle and then drilled a whole from the backside through the corner of the angle iron. now with the grippyest tire on that bandit wheel it doesnt move.

i did this as well, but it was because my chain was too tight along with the torque from the wheelies.  I would check chain slack if i were you.

Hey,

I just changed my F to a 14t front sprocket tonight and went out with my buddy. A 14t in the front is crazy. I bought a 15t aswell, but started with the 14t. Revs like crazy, and best off all, i can do wheelies without, thats right, WITOUT using the cluth  :thumb: And my plates were bent as well after tonight, so i just put them in a press and straighten them out. Worked alright. I am going to the zuki dealer tomorrow, ill get him to make me some thick suckers.

Can you over torque your axle nut?

yep, it is really easy, you will notice that the rear tire is really hard to spin

If the axle nut is tight, how the $%^&* do you get pressure on the adjuster plates???????

well if any of you had a repair manual, you whould know that you snug the nut down, adjust chain adjusters, and then torque nut down.  the reason the crap bent in the first place is because it wasn't adjusted properly and the nut wasn't torqued correctly, and then you applied a large amount of touque to the center of the adjusting plate by wheeleing.  hell, you may have just started beatig on it with a hammer and saved yourself alot of time and effort.
